CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant/Caregiver needed
We are seeking a compassionate, live-in caregiver for my parents: one is 85 with Parkinson's and the other 89 with dementia. We offer $500/day(24hr shift, direct deposit), a private bedroom, parking and you will work alongside myself caring for my parents in their house. We are looking to fill Wednesday and Thursday shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist my parents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare/cook meals, do laundry, and maintain a clean home(we have a housekeeper)
- Monitor patients' condition, take BP, log and report any changes or concerns
- Provide basic medical care such as wound care and medication administration under supervision
- Assist with mobility and transfers(comfortable with 150lbs or more), ensuring patient safety at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Experience in senior care, nursing homes, memory care, or hospice care is preferred
- Proficient in performing caregiving tasks and cooking from a recipe
- Ability to handle basic medical equipment and assist with procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and family
- Compassionate nature and ability to provide emotional support to patients in challenging situations
- Ability to work well in a private residence while maintaining attention to detail
Requirements:
- CNA certification
- recent CPR testing completed
- Up-to-date vaccinations COVID/Flu, Tuberculosis test
- Comfortable with overnight stays
