Sales Associate

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.

Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.

Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise.

Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.

Appropriately greet and acknowledge all customers - when possible, meet the customer on the sales floor. Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise. Be familiar with "Tie-In" product options for each type of sale.

Accept and/or transfer incoming calls while promoting the highest level of individual customer service.

Help customer checkout efficiently, correctly and in a timely manner.

Accepts payment and makes change.

Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.

Cleans shelves, counters, or tables. Maintain and clean assigned areas.

Removes and records the amount of cash in register at end of shift.

Submit recommendation for ordering to store manager for review and final approval.

Adhere to company guidelines regarding the sales of any regulated chemicals Stay informed of all changes affecting individual products in regulated categories or which customers are permitted to purchase.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Qualifications: (Computer skills, Language skills, Licenses, etc.)

Gain product knowledge through Grangetto University, college courses, county sponsored events, or any other appropriate method.

Physical Demands:

Lift up to 50 lbs. and load customer vehicles when necessary.
