Vehicle Operations/Fleet Manager/Captain - Full-Time/Flexible - $20/hr

Company Information:

Kairos Mobility Ventures is an early-stage electric vehicle (EV) rental startup specializing in supplying EVs to list on carsharing platforms such as Uber Carshare and Turo and/or rent through private rental agreements.

Job Overview:

The Captain will be responsible for maintaining the fleet, managing listings on various carshare platforms, managing a team of Cleaners as needed, and interfacing with on-the-ground support vendors. The Captain oversees on-the-ground processes and works closely with the General Manager to maximize rental readiness, increase utilization, and protect an ever-expanding fleet. As the on-the-ground leader in Kairos' first market, the Boston Captain will help shape our business as we prepare to expand our fleet in Boston and to new markets in the coming months.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Cleaning Process: Maintain cleaning calendar and ensure standards are met for each vehicle

- Team: Hire, train, oversee, and manage schedule of team of Cleaners as needed

- Platform Mastery: Manage rental listings on various carshare platforms and update as necessary

- Onboarding: Oversee on-the-ground vehicle onboarding/offboarding process

- Fleet Health: Manage vehicle availability calendar on internal and external platforms

- Issue Flagging: Document any repair & maintenance issues and flag to GM

- Tow Retrieval: Work with GM to retrieve any towed vehicles

- Fleet Audits: Perform on-the-ground fleet audits with GM assistance

- Communication: Action on any customer feedback with GM

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a similar role within the vehicle rental or automotive industry preferred

- Technological fluency or willingness to learn

- 21+ and have a valid driver’s license

- Clean driving record, background check with valid documentation required

- Excellent time management, organization, communication, and attention to detail

- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures

- Ability to travel to different parking locations throughout the city with cleaning supplies

- Ability to work independently and take initiative
