About the Job:

Becoming a mover at Pack My Truck is where hustle meets opportunity.

We want our movers to feel safe and respected at all times. We offer full time and part time positions, paid training, and very competitive starting pay!

That said, being a mover isn't for everyone.

It consists of very demanding physical labor and having a positive attitude is a must. If this sounds like you, please read on!

Available Positions:

All positions are expected to move and load furniture / boxes but have subtle responsibility differences and thus pay differences.

Team Loader - Team loaders are responsible for preparing furniture to be moved, packing items into boxes, and safely loading the items where they need to go (into the truck, moving pod, apartment, house, etc.).

Team Driver - Team drivers are responsible for safely operating company vehicles and transporting our teammates to and from the jobsites along with safely transporting the materials and equipment needed to get the job done!

Team Leader - Team leaders are responsible for the completion of a successful move! This mover deals with communicating with the customers and our teammates, along with collecting payments. Communication skills are key in this role. They may or may not drive as well.

Responsibilities:

In any of our mover positions you will need to be able to:

-Operate a handtruck with precision and care

-Operate common hand tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture

-Wrap furniture with moving pads, shrink wrap, and tape

-Pack household items into boxes with care

-Lift and carry boxes and furniture items such as dressers, couches, bed frames, night stands and much more.

-Organize and clean work vehicles

Team driver responsibilities:

-Safely and legally operate our company vehicles

-Report any maintenance / safety issues with our vehicles to the office team

Team lead responsibilities:

-Communicate well with customers and our own teammates

-Have good conflict management skills

-Calculate and collect payments

Training will be given for all of the required skills listed above.

Requirements:

-A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and be respectful at all times. Our customers count on us for showing up to their move with the best attitude possible.

-Be a team player

-Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly

-Must be able to pass a background check

-Ability to stand and walk while carrying various items as needed

-Reliable transportation to work and / or a good attendance track record (in the form of positive employer references or testimonials).

Nice-to-haves but not required:

-A drivers license

-Labor experience

-Customer service experience

-Managerial experience

-Truck loading / unloading experience

-Handtruck experience

-A flexible schedule

Compensation

Our starting pay ranges from $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience and the role you are hired for (team loader, team driver, or team leader) plus you keep 100% of your hard earned tips!

Overtime

Overtime availability is dependent on our workload. Overtime may be available but is not required.
