Engineering Designer
Actalent is hiring an experience Designer to join our engineering team in the Tualatin area! This is a long term career position with ability to work on a great product and team.Job Description:We are looking for an AutoCAD Designer to help with product drawings and documentation using CAD systems. They would be supporting product lines that are being relocated. Day to day will be able design in inventor - we need to be someone who can read architecture civil, and mechanical designs. They can teach the ins and outs of their product.This person will work heavily with the design team but also have moments when they would work independently. These projects will be customer focused and shared with the Apps. team. The company on average produces around 150 projects a quarter.For the schedule: 3 weeks in the office 1 week home, rotatingThis designer will:
Assist Applications Designer(s) in the process of project design by applying Designer’s directions to create/modify required project materials.
Create data extractions from created project drawings as required by the design directions.
Create/modify department library items as directed by the department manager.
Skills & Qualifications Needed:
Familiarity with architectural, specifically how to read & interpret drawings
Mechanical experience, How to draw/detail assemblies and how they interface to architectural elements, How to draw/detail fabrication & assembly drawings
Knowledge of manufacture of products utilizing high volume production parts and assemblies
Knowledge of CAD with experience in PDM (Vault) document control preferred
Ability to produce actuate and constant documents in the time allocated
Must be able to read and interpret Electrical and Architectural construction drawings and specifications
Basic electrical knowledge (high and low voltage) a plus
