Fulfillment Associate @ Ministry of Scent

Employment type: full-time salaried position (please also see our part-time position currently available)

Compensation: $52,000 annually (equivalent to $25 per hour)

Overview:

Ministry of Scent, located at 962 Valencia Street in the Mission District of San Francisco, is looking for a full-time employee to join our fast-growing team of 16 people. We are a unique retailer presenting niche and independent fragrance brands from around the world. Our location is a friendly, inviting space with a diverse, fun, scent-loving team.

The position mainly involves creating fragrance samples and packing/shipping orders to our online customers. This role requires you to spend the majority of the day working with fragrances. There is no heavy lifting.

Full-time (40 hours per week) with some flexibility in terms of hours and days, although at least one workday on the weekend would be ideal.

Job Requirements:

Making perfume samples

Picking products from inventory for orders

Packing orders with neatness and care

Using Shopify to create address labels, packing slips and custom redemption codes

Hand-writing notes to customers for specific orders

May include customer service emails

Job Skills:

2+ years experience in order fulfillment

Good computer skills and fast keyboarding are required. Experience with Shopify is a plus but not essential.

Detail-oriented and organized, with focus and a sense of urgency.

Neatness and ability to create a delightful unboxing experience are a must.

Experience with customer service is a plus.

Reliability is a must. We need to be able to count on you.

An interest in perfumes is ideal. You will learn a lot about fragrances by working with us.

College education is a plus.

Benefits:

10 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year for your first two years of employment, increasing to 15 PTO days after that. After five years you will get 4 weeks off and after ten years you will get 5 weeks off.

Up to 9 days paid sick leave as per San Francisco’s ordinance of 1 hour per 30 hours worked. A maximum of 9 days (72 hours) can accrue at any time, and will roll over on a continuous basis.
