Meat Wrapper

The Market at Birch Bay has a current opening for a Meat Wrapper.

The Meat Wrapper is responsible for wrapping meat department products, proper display, rotation, sanitary handling of the product, overall cleanliness in the department, and the completion of various assigned tasks under the direction of the Meat Manager. This includes weighing and labeling products, stocking meat cases and posting signs. Maintains a clean, full, and fresh meat area, rotates food products to ensure safety, freshness and attractiveness. Readily shares their knowledge and passion for food with our customers.

As a Meat Wrapper you will need:

1-2 years previous meat wrapping experience preferred.

Well developed product knowledge (variety, preparation etc) of various cuts of meat and meat department products.

Ability to work independently; a self-motivated worker with a strong desire to perform meat cutting as a career.

Ability to stand, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Current Food Handler card.
