Farmhands, organic vegetable farm

Tipi Produce is a certified-organic vegetable farm located 35 minutes south of Madison, WI.

We have FT and PT openings.

Join our lively work crew and learn organic farming. All the food we raise is eaten locally, distributed through diverse wholesale and retail operations in Madison and Milwaukee. We are happy to share our long experience with young and beginning farmers. This is challenging, satisfying work.

Job description:

- Employment is May/June through mid-November. Winter work is possible for the right person.

- Tasks include greenhouse work, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing and packing produce.

- Prior farming experience is valuable but not necessary.

- Must be physically fit and able to lift 40 lb.

- Competitive wage ($17.50 - 19.00/hour depending on experience), commuting subsidy, plus lots of organic veggies to take home.

- We do not provide housing.

Available schedules:

FT: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 or 6:00 pm (40 hours/week)

PT: Four full days during Monday - Friday (32 hours/week)

PT: Mornings, Monday - Friday (20 hours/week)
