Looking for fun and flexible part-time job, where you get to set your own hours. Work at the Treehouse at Big Rock Park or Beaver Lake Lodge Park. You can work from one shift a quarter, to 20 hours a week during the busy seasons. Shift availability varies from by season. Plus, you will be free to read or study when there are no visitors on-site, needing assistance.

PURPOSE:

Performs routine clerical activities supporting groups renting city facilities. Work involves overseeing rental groups in the Lodge at Beaver Lake, Treehouse at Big Rock Park and other city facilities, assisting in City Hall at the Rental Desk, and monitoring appropriate treatment of rented athletic fields. We are hiring 3 Facility Monitors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Provides high quality customer service to all rental groups.

- Enforces all policies and procedures specific to the site.

- Assists, as needed, with event setup and breakdown.

- Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training courses.

- Oversees the maintenance and proper usage of all equipment.

- Checks for and reports damage(s) and/or hazards.

- Carries out basic maintenance duties.

- Works evening and/or weekend shifts and events based on organizational responsibilities and/or requirements.

- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those interacted with during work regardless of race, color, religious creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, genetic information, disability, political affiliation, military service, or diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year of comparable customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

Employees must be residents of Washington State and a minimum age of 21 or older if working at the Beaver Lake Lodge, due to the presence of alcohol on-site.

KNOWLEDGE OF

- Knowledge of or ability to learn to carry out emergency procedures and associated activities in the event of an emergency.

- Use of Microsoft Office Suite and applicable department / organization specific software and ability to learn and become skilled in the use of other specialized software and online meeting platforms as may be required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Clearly communicate and understand information in English, both orally and in writing, and use professional composition, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

- Responsive and flexible handling of work assignments and prioritizing work to complete assignments accurately and timely.

- Maintain a customer service orientation and positive image of the city to the public, courteous and professional approach to exchanging information, adhering to strict confidentiality requirements.

- Regularly attend work and arrive punctually for designated work schedule, including when working remotely per an approved hybrid schedule.
