About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director and Global Head of Platform Availability Management for the Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) division, within the Platform Strategy & Transformation team. This senior leader will be responsible for the management of all aspects of resiliency for a large and diverse set of IT services provided to our business and clients. This role includes management of the resiliency and recovery processes, the service management and governance functions and evolving our release management practices. A successful candidate will also be responsible for the alignment of these areas with the ongoing technology modernization program while influencing the program to deliver to the unique needs of the CCIBT businesses. This role is critical for achieving our reliability goals and transforming our culture, skillsets and practices towards reliability engineering and will work closely with the Platform Strategy & Transformation team to influence and contribute to the broader strategic direction. It will require a seasoned and compelling technology leader, with the proven ability to drive cultural as well as technical change into a large organization.In this role, you will:

Manage a globally distributed team of engineering, business and process experts across the availability management disciplines.

Lead, influence, and matrix-manage elements of the broader organization engaged in the function.

Manage the Resiliency, Service Management, Incident Response, Service Improvement, Service Governance and Release Management functions for the CCIBT division of Wells Fargo.

Provide leadership, strategic direction, governance, metrics and reporting for the functional area with accountability to the Global Head of Platform Strategy & Transformation.

Develop strategies for the acquisition, retention, development, and mobility of talent.

Partner across technology, business, regulator and client stakeholders and consumer groups, providing data and information pertinent to each.

Manage all costs and investments associated with the functional area and develop a multi-year financial strategy for the area which measures and optimizes value.

Provide data, insight, and advocacy in support of platform availability to partners who provide IT services and solutions.

Set risk management guidelines and controls, partnering with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.

Contribute to Wells Fargo's vision, values, and goals.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

4+ years of Management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience

5+ years of cloud technology experience

Experience with DevSecOps framework.

Experience with data center migrations

Good understanding of management process frameworks, such as ITIL

4+ years of experience managing, leading and influencing global teams and stakeholders

3 + years of experience managing geographically diverse teams

3+ years managing Agile teams including use of tools such as Jira and Confluence

Ability to lead change in a large scale, and complexity enterprise environment.

Experience in financial services, in particular capital markets, payments, trading, transaction banking and commercial banking.

Ability to manage large or multiple technology development efforts within a major line of business .

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Ability to work in the office and at home in a hybrid model.
