The ideal candidate must reside in:Knoxville, TNRoswell, GAHouston, TXThe purpose of this position is to lead the full leave of absence cycle within the guidelines of federal, state and company policies.

Determine, track, and administer eligibility for leave of absence based on State, Federal, Canadian and company policies, including approving or denying requested leave of absences

Coordinate and submit all PTO and leave pay requests for team members on leave of absence, including benefit billing and collections

Calculate loss PTO for individuals returning from leave of absence

Provide support and guidance to business partners, managers, and team members regarding leave of absence related questions

Administer and monitor all work-stay ADA accommodations and religious accommodations

Complete records of employment for all Canadian team members on leave, as well as waiver of benefit premium documents for Canadian team members

Coordinate team member paid STD & LTD, State STD with 3rd party vendors or State administrators

Terminate team members who are non-compliant or those in which an accommodation cannot be met after going through the ADA process.

Provide legal team with any information about a leave of absence that is needed for Department of labor claims, EEOC, or any other legal claims that may arise regarding a leave of absence case, including participating in depositions if necessary

Maintain documentation and reporting for ADA accommodations in accordance with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) guidelines and document SOPs

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

SHRM or HRCI credential preferred

Minimum 2 years’ of leave of absence experience preferred

Elevated knowledge of leave of absence policies and procedures, including State, Canadian, and company policies

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information ethically and responsibly while escalating higher tier issues to management or legal department when appropriate

Ability to embrace technology, as well as utilize and transact in HR systems, portals, knowledgebase and case management

Ability to lead, train, motivate and act as a resource for other team members within the department

Ability to document processes and provides process improvement ideas

Ability to contribute to improving HR services, procedures, and processes to elevate employee satisfaction

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to show compassion and empathy for others
