James Provisions, a seasonal American restaurant in Hurst restaurant seeks experienced Dishwasher for 2-5shifts per week. Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience in this position. We're looking for motivated team players with an positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The Restaurant Porter is a vital member of our kitchen team, responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-organized kitchen and restaurant environment. This role involves dishwashing, cleaning, basic food preparation assistance, and ensuring the restaurant adheres to sanitation standards. The ideal candidate is meticulous, efficient, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Dishwashing and sanitation: Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and store all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to maintain a constant supply for food preparation.

Kitchen cleaning: Sweep, mop, and clean all kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, appliances, and food preparation areas, maintaining exceptional hygiene standards.

Dining area cleaning: Sweep, mop, and clean all dining surfaces, floors, walls, appliances, and drink preparation areas, maintaining exceptional hygiene standards.

Waste Management: Empty and sanitize trash bins, dispose of waste appropriately, and maintain clean garbage areas.

Organization: Keep kitchen areas, storage spaces, refrigerators, and freezers organized, ensuring easy access to ingredients and equipment.

Food preparation support: Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks as needed, such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.

Bathroom maintenance: Check bathrooms regularly for cleanliness and restock supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap).

Clean and sanitize all bathroom surfaces, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.

Inventory and deliveries: Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and organization of supplies.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, but not required.

Cleanliness: Strong understanding of sanitation procedures and a keen eye for detail.

Physical abilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform bending, reaching, and repetitive tasks.

Teamwork: Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with the kitchen team.

Reliability: Excellent time management and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
