We are not landscapers, we are a small family-operated garden service.

No mowing

No leaf cleanups

I am looking for a Full Time (May-November) garden assistant. Be eager to match my standard of garden care and horticulture while learning and connecting with nature. We maintain many high end gardens in the Newton area and our shop is in Waltham.

Experience not required, must know which end of the shovel goes into the ground.

We use our hands and minimize using machines to cut corners. This is proper horticulture.

You will learn the following working with me:

Pruning

Weeding

Soil amendment

Planting big and small

Nursery operation

Sod installation

Compost application

Annual and perennial deadheading and care

Wholistic approach to gardening

minor masonary

No leaf cleanup

No mowing

Must be able to:

-Lift, not run

-Bend over and touch your toes without falling or crying

-Take care of yourself in mother nature (Expect to work in a drizzle and to feed and hydrate yourself)

-Tolerate heat and sun

-Attention to detail

- Have a light foot in the garden.

-Be flexible and have fun

I have a lot to teach and need a sponge to soak it all up. Quit your gym membership and come garden with me!
