Outer Banks Civil Engineer

THE POSITION

Quible & Associates, P.C. is searching for a North Carolina Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil/Environmental) to join our primary office in the Outer Banks Region of northeastern North Carolina. The individual filling this position will possess the energy and desire that it takes to work in a small, fast-paced company. This position will afford the opportunity for education/certification and advancement opportunities. Candidates will have a positive attitude, proactive approach to problem solving and desire to work in a multidisciplinary Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting Firm. This is an exciting and potential “break-out” opportunity to excel and grow within our well-established company.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The advertised position is for a Licensed Project Engineer or Project Manager and requires a motivated Civil Engineer.

This Civil Engineer candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and possess the energy and desire necessary to work in a small, growing company.

Familiarity/experience in the following areas of design is a must:

Stormwater conveyance and treatment

Wastewater and water pump stations

Stream/wetland assessment and restoration

General commercial and private development civil engineering

Other ecosystem restoration and enhancement projects

Hydraulic modeling

Software requirements include:

Microsoft Office

AutoCAD (Civil 3D)

HEC-RAS/HMS (bonus)

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

This Civil Engineer must possess the ability to:

Design Land Development and Shoreline Protection Projects with other Engineers and Environmental Consultants

Attend public meetings and be comfortable speaking in public

Market services to existing and potential clients

Work with a multi-disciplinary team

Grow into Project Management Roles as a P.E.

Our primary office location is on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where we currently have a 12-person full time staff. We also have a growing western North Carolina satellite office in Buncombe County.

The Quible team is comprised of a tight-knit core of multidisciplinary professionals with projects throughout the Outer Banks, the 20 coastal counties of North Carolina, Western North Carolina, Virginia and the mid and south Atlantic regions.
