Description We are in search of a meticulous and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position is based in LANSING, Michigan, United States. This role primarily involves handling administrative tasks such as greeting vendors, managing calendars, organizing employee trainings, and dealing with inbound and outbound calls. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Greet and assist vendors during their visits to the office. Manage the office calendar to ensure all meetings, appointments, and deadlines are accurately scheduled and met. Oversee employee training programs, ensuring they are well-organized and executed efficiently. Answer phone calls professionally and redirect them as necessary. Organize and coordinate lunch and learn sessions for the team. Handle email correspondence and ensure all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner. Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to create, edit and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Perform data entry tasks to maintain and update various databases. Schedule appointments and meetings as required. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word Experience in handling both inbound and outbound calls Exceptional customer service skills Ability to perform data entry tasks with attention to detail Excellent email correspondence skills Experience in scheduling appointments in a professional setting Ability to handle administrative tasks in a manufacturing industry setting Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative High school diploma or equivalent required; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
