Optician

Our company is looking to add a third optician. We are a medium-sized optometry office providing comprehensive eye care. Experience preferred but not necessary; training will be provided for the right candidate.

We are seeking a candidate who is punctual and detail-oriented. The position is 30-40 hours per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri).Personal time off and vision care included. In addition to hourly wage, we offer bonuses as well. Optionally, there's room for growth in the office if the candidate wants to expand beyond the role of optician.

There are no minimum requirements or skills to apply or succeed in this position. However, job experience with patient, client, and/or customer-facing roles would be a plus. Experience with EMRs, especially OfficeMate/ExamWriter is also helpful.

Responsibilities:

Helping patients with frame selection and applying vision insurance when possible.

Maintaining frames on display

Adjusting frames for appropriate fit

Replacing screws and nose pads

Ordering frames and lenses

Billing insurance for the patient's glasses order
