Title I Reading Tutor - The Village School

Job Title: Title I Reading Tutor

Description: The Village School seeks a Grades 1-3 Title I Reading Tutor for the 2024-2025 School Year. This is a part-time position, 12-15 hours per week, sponsored by Federal Title I and Oregon Early Literacy funds.

Duties:

Tutor individual or small groups of students grades 1-3 using modified curriculum to support reading. Collaborate with lead teachers and Title I staff.

Support for State and EasyCBM testing

Recess Supervision as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

TSPC license is a plus

Strong Reading Instruction Skills

Strong Classroom Management Skills

Knowledge of Waldorf Curriculum Preferred

Previous experience or training is necessary

Ability to interact with children and adults in a positive manner

Willingness to get CPR training

Fingerprinting/Background check required

Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds

Starting Salary Range: 18.00 – $21.02 DOE. Benefits include our healthy lunch service, wellness and other benefits.
