POSITION: GUEST SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

(Full-Time and Part-Time Non Exempt)

CURRENT OPENING (Non-Negotiable): Part Time Positions Open. Afternoon (3pm-11pm) and Night Shifts (11pm-7am) available.

BASE PAY RATE: $17.00/hour ($18.00/hour after 100 hour training period is completed)

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To support the entire hotel team in providing first class customer service to hotel guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greet, register and assign hotel rooms to walk-in and reservation guests in a professional, courteous and timely manner.

2. Create, confirm and manage reservations for hotel guests.

3. Answer incoming phone calls, set wake-up calls and transfer calls.

4. Provide general information about the hotel facility and services for hotel guests and general public.

5. Provide general information about the hotel’s locality and greater area with recommendations and directions for hotel guests and general public.

6. Maintain a visual standard in the office, lobby and breakfast bar including general maintenance.

7. Perform specific operational tasks (e.g. create housekeeping reports, create maintenance work orders, performing night audits) particular to the work shift.

8. Coordinate tasks with other members of hotel staff (e.g. housekeeping, laundry and maintenance departments).

9. Comply with all company policies and procedures.

10. Comply with all brand policies and procedures.

11. Maintain an environment where all hotel guests and employees are treated fairly, with dignity and respect.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

1. Demonstrate a positive and constructive attitude.

2. Effective communication skills.

3. Effective organization skills with the ability to multitask.

4. Ability to work cooperatively with hotel guests and staff and vendors.

5. Be self-motivated with the ability to work responsibly and independently.

6. Ability to maintain composure and manage stressful situations when they occur.

7. Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

8. Prior experience/employment in hospitality and/or customer service position preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to be mobile in the office for extended periods of time.

2. Ability to work weekends and holidays with a flexible schedule (can work part time with the option of taking on any additional and available shifts).

3. Ability to lift and mobilize small to medium items up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate safety techniques. Must be capable of pushing and/or pulling up to 200 lbs. while utilizing appropriate safety techniques.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent job experience.

REPORTS TO: General Manager or Assistant Manager.
