SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced General Manager for The Beach House in Seal Beach. Our ideal candidate will well versed in running a full service restaurant with experience in the hospitality with wine & spirits. They need to be hands on touching every table and passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience. Duties include a successful track record of training, coaching and leading a team in a professional, but fun environment where everyone is treated with respect. They will have knowledge and experience in product ordering, inventory/cost and labor control and systems implementation/execution. As the General Manager, you will provide the training that includes detailed policy and procedures, coaching and leadership to ensure a successful overall restaurant operation and an excellent experience for both guests and staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include:

5+ years as a General Manager of a high volume, full service restaurant.

A genuine passion for hospitality and upbeat fun personality.

Taking control in the training, supervising, scheduling, new hire orientations, and directing of all restaurant Associates with a positive influence with employee behavior.

Handling guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner

Must have the drive and initiative to work in fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule working evenings, weekends and holidays.

Ensuring restaurants appearance will meet and exceed standards as well as maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times.

Willing to step into all positions assisting with overflow.

Work closely with culinary manager and kitchen staff overseeing back of the house scheduling.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. We are a drug-free workplace with random drug testing.
