Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Overview:

Suisun Valley Fruit Growers is a Co-Op that works with local farmers, growers, and the general public to provide various supplies for their needs. We are looking for a Bookkeeper to help us as we continue to support our local community!

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial records and transactions. This is a key role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions

- Prepare and post journal entries

- Conduct account analysis and ensure accuracy of financial data

- Assist with tax preparation and filing

- Generate financial reports for management review

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role

- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software

- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices

- Familiarity with account analysis and financial report writing

- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Previous experience in public accounting is a plus

- 10-key typing skills
