York Cellars a bustling boutique retail wine and spirits shop based in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We curate a selection of uncommon international and domestic wines, with an emphasis on organic and biodynamic production from small-to-mid-sized producers.

YOU

+ Are knowledgeable and passionate about wine, and love discovering new producers and regions

+ Have a firm grasp of wine pairing and winemaking fundamentals

+ Have a friendly, outgoing, customer-first demeanor

+ Are a good multitasker, who thrives in a fast-paced environment

+ Are a self-starter and familiar with point-of-sale and other systems

+ Enjoy tasting with others, and learning about wines, spirits, varietals and regions

RESPONSIBILITIES + REQUIREMENTS

+ Retail sales, assisting our community with selecting wines, and suggesting food pairings

+ Cashiering duties

+ Basic opening and closing retail duties

+ Physically able to stock/re-stock shelves and lift cases of wine and spirits

+ Occasional local deliveries (walking distance)

COMPENSATION

We offer competitive hourly pay, commensurate with wine experience, pooled tips, awesome employee discounts, and other perks. Hourly: $21-$24/DOE, to start, with lots of room for growth.
