Farm Hand

Need help primarily feeding animals and with general odd jobs/yard work around small outdoor family hog farm. Hours and days are flexible, but some weekends required.

Good job for a student or any able-bodied person who wants to supplement income. Need reliable transportation to Western Goochland and ability to lift 50+ pounds. Work is physical and is mostly outside in all weather.

Besides feeding, primary duty will be to drive deliveries, animals, feed pickups, etc. using our vehicles, approximately once per week (half to up to full day trips). Need to have familiarity and comfort level with pulling a trailer and loading animals for this (or willingness to learn).

Pay between $13 and $16/hr to start based on experience/ability. If there is an interest and a match, may also be more hours available doing food prep and working at farmers markets (considerable extra pay at markets from tips). Stipend for gas considered for those traveling more than 40 minutes each way to the farm.
