Since 1976, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization has been providing a wide range of services to a growing population of persons with disabilities -including youth, older adults, & veterans. Serving parts of the Antelope Valley, San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles City areas. Making a difference in people's lives. In-Person, full-time position with benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage client cases, general advocacy.

Increase knowledge of government agency regulation.

Provide training to staff on AT opportunities available to their clients.

Develop resources for clients to fund their AT.

Create a peer support group (classes and/or Zoom) for client support.

Client assistance in AT needs for housing and advocacy.

Develop resources for licensed AT assessments on AT equipment needed by client to live independently.

Skills Desired:

Professional and personal experience with disabilities preferred.

Have knowledge of the local community and its service agencies preferred.

Ability to develop skills and knowledge on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Detail-oriented with good organization and multitasking skills. Good oral, written and professional communication skills. Solid customer service attitude. Ability to work effectively and productively with others and willingness to help others.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

MS Excel and other MS office software (Word, Outlook).

Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation services, social services, public administration, business administration; rehabilitation counseling, or related field; or a minimum of four (4) years’ experience working within this field at the management level.
