ACCOUNTANT - FULL-TIME
DEARBORN MI
Compensation: Salary range $50,000 - $62,000 annually, plus a competitive benefits
package.
Work days: Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Position Overview
Accountant is responsible for completing a range of accounting, bookkeeping and administrative tasks in a skilled and organized manner. Success in this position will be
evidenced by your: comfort with numbers; accuracy of work; compliance with Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); efficiency without sacrificing the ability to meet
deadlines; confidence to ask questions; and earned trust of co-workers. This position is
situated within the finance and accounting functions, with support and direction from the
Director of Finance and Administration.
Major Areas of Work:
Support/back up accounts payable as needed - enter, process, and monitor vendor
payables
Support/back up accounts receivable as needed - create, issue, and follow up on
invoices
Prepare, enter, and balance journal entries
Complete bank reconciliations monthly for all bank accounts
Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Perform account reconciliation on balance sheet accounts
Maintain integrity of the general ledger through monthly analysis
Keep files organized for all vendors and customers to meet office compliance
requirements
Assist with annual budget, audit, and financial reporting
Review and approve monthly expense reports from program vendors
Assist with preparation an posting of bi-weekly payroll entries into the general ledger
and payroll software system

Other miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Director of Finance and
Administration Qualifications and Skills:
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and
regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software (AccuFund); proficiency
with Google Workspace and databases
Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Able to work independently and in a team setting
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Reports to: Director of Finance & Administration
