Software Engineer
NEW SOFTWARE ENGINGEERING OPPORTUNITY SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEXT GEN US SUBMARINE SYSTEMS FOR A TOP AEROSPACE & DEFENSE COMPANY IN THE WORLD JOB DESCRIPTION: As an advanced software engineer for Submarine Combat Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for delivering advanced mission capabilities to the US and Australian submarine forces.We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: JOB SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
ELIGIBLE FOR A SECRET US CLEARANCE
Software development (C/Java), Kubernetes, Linux w/ Command Line, Ansible.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
Ability to lead the software development process
Superior Red Hat/CentOS Linux skills
Extensive experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration/PaaS/Cloud technologies
Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success
Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
Certifications: one or more of Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Admin (CKA), and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
