Building Maintenance Tech

As the Building Maintenance Tech for Dakota Steel and Trim, you will report to the Production Supervisor. This exciting opportunity will have various hands-on maintenance duties. Job Duties:

Perform a variety of general maintenance and repairs for grounds, warehouse, production, and office areas

Working from daily worksheets, perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines and equipment continues to run smoothly and safely. Machines and equipment include forklifts, roll formers, press brakes, etc.

Operate equipment such as forklift, skid loader, boom lift, scissor lift, lawn mower, weed eater, snowplow, etc.

Manage septic systems throughout the facility

Assist the IT department with installing cables as necessary

Run errands occasionally using company vehicle

Remove snow and ice from facility grounds

Spray and pull weeds and mow grounds

Perform other related duties as assigned

The Qualified Candidate:

Must have a driver’s license

Must be at least 18 yrs old

Is able to work independently with minimal supervision

Has 2+ years of building and preventative maintenance experience

Experience with Geothermal system a plus

Can lift 75 lbs. on a regular basis; position requires regular bending, stooping, twisting, and being on feet all day

Has strong organizing and time management skills
