Construction Materials Testing Technician

Job DescriptionInsight Global is on the quest for an Construction Materials Testing Technician to work on building projects in and around Charlotte. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of materials used in building, bridges, and roadways. The ideal candidate should possess relevant certifications and experience or be willing to obtain them within the first three months of employment.Responsibilities: Conduct field observations and perform materials sampling/testing during construction projects. Conduct comprehensive testing on various construction materials, including soils and concrete.o This involves using techniques such as nuclear gauge measurements and dry tube tests across both concrete and soil samples. Write detailed daily field reports, documenting work performed by contractors and assessing compliance with contract documents. Cast field samples (e.g., concrete, masonry, grout) for strength verification. Provide regular phone updates to Project Managers regarding daily project progress. Collect construction material samples and deliver them to the laboratory. Implement the Clients Project Management Plan, KLFs Quality Management Plan, contract documents, and local jurisdiction requirements. Mentor and support the Owners team within the scope of work. Consult with the project team to facilitate effective cross-functional communication.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
