Architectural Designer

AEC office in the Mid-Wilshire / Miracle Mile area is looking for an Architectural Designer with 2-4 years experience to assist with residential and light commercial projects.

The architectural designer's role includes overseeing every phase of project execution, such as conceptualization, plan/specification generation, obtaining permits from city/county departments, coordinating with consultants, and monitoring construction progress.

Responsibilities:

-Develop detailed architectural drawings and plans for various projects, ensuring compliance with building and other relevant codes.

-Conduct site visits and assist in the analysis of architectural feasibility.

-Manage the plan check submission process, effectively addressing and clearing comments from review authorities in a timely manner.

-Utilize software tools (CAD, SketchUp, etc.) to create and modify designs.

-Research building codes, regulations, and materials to ensure compliance and quality.

-Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.

Qualifications:

-Education in Architecture or related field.

-Proficiency in architectural software and drafting techniques.

-Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

-Excellent communication and time management skills.

-Authorization to work legally.

-A reliable car, valid driver's license, and insurance are required as the job involves traveling to job sites and city/county departments.
