Accounting Specialist

If you have a Service Leader Heart and want to share that in your job, we have the perfect opportunity for you. Our client provides services throughout the San Joaquin Valley and is looking for an experienced Non-Profit Accounting Specialist.

Description

-Provide accounting support regarding revenue recognition, donor gifts and track expenditures

-Prepare Grant billings, budgets, and track usage

-Produce reports and regulatory documents that are compliant to established guidelines

-Record and reconcile project funding including allocations

-Collect appropriate reports and data for auditors and management

- Monitor, and reconciliate cash flow, and sales from non-profit retail store

-Work aging reports and make collections call

-Assist and support fundraising events

-Provide timely and updated spreadsheets to Director

Requirements

-5+ years of hands-on financial accounting experience, preferably in Non-Profit, Grant or Fund accounting

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field

-Journal entry experience required

-MIP/Sage/Abila experience a strong plus

-Excellent communication and organizational skills

-Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow

-Capable of handling multiple projects, managing deadlines and timely contribution of services
