BARTENDER AND SERVER
Seeking an experienced server and an experienced Bartender for a popular spot in Brooklyn. Both positions are part-time: 3-4 days of work.
Please only apply if you can work Thursdays-Sundays. Thursday- Saturday are afternoon/evening shifts, Sunday is Brunch only, so it is a morning/afternoon shift.
Our restaurant is one server and one bartender on shift each day. This means that in either position, you will be working your position alone. As a result, once you are on the schedule, there is no calling out. There is no coming late. There will be no one to cover you. Your schedule is your schedule. Days off must be scheduled in advance with a manger.
-You must be able to arrive on time every day, no exceptions.
If you are someone who is frequently asking for time off for outside interests, vacations, school, other jobs, or who needs schedule changes often, just do not apply. If you are looking for a temporary way to make some more money, just do not apply.
If you want a steady, long-term job with a solid income, this is a great position for you.
SERVER QUALIFICATIONS:
-You must have at least 3 years of serving experience at full-service restaurants. You will be the only server on shift, so you must know what you are doing and how to manage customers with ease.
- You must be courteous, upbeat, and professional when speaking to the customers.
-You must be excellent at managing time for each table: making sure orders are put in right away and that tables are turned quickly without rushing your customers' dining experience.
- You must be excellent at working within a team. You must be able to communicate clearly with the bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure that service runs smoothly each night.
-You must have a clean appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
- You will be required to do shift work: cleaning the dining room and menus, wrapping silverware sets, set-up and breakdown for each day.
BARTENDER QUALIFICATIONS:
-You must have at least 3 years of bartending experience. You will be the only bartender on shift, so you must know your drinks, be able to make drinks quickly, and attend to customers efficiently.
- You must be courteous, upbeat, and professional when speaking to the customers.
-You must be excellent at managing time, multi-tasking, and working neatly.
- You must be excellent at working within a team. You must be able to communicate clearly with the servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure that service runs smoothly each night.
-You must have a clean appearance and excellent personal hygiene.
- You will be required to set up and breakdown the bar each day, including a weekly deep clean. Cleanliness is very important to us!
