Apprentice Plumber Job Summary

We are looking for aspiring people to join our team as a Plumbing Student/ Apprentice Plumber in new construction, commercial and residential as well as service. You will learn the skills necessary to become a journeyman by working with a master plumber. As you gain experience, you may begin to complete some duties independently or with limited supervision. To apply for this position, you need a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift over 50 lbs., and knowledge of and proficiency with basic tools.

Apprentice Plumber Requirements and Qualifications

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to lift over 50 lbs.

Compatible learner.

Familiar with common hand tools.

Strong active listening skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

A complete set of hand tools

High School diploma or GED

Must pass drug screen, physical and have a clean DMV record

Apprentice Plumber Duties and Responsibilities

Locating and identifying leaks.

Repairing or replacing of pipes and parts.

Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.

Helping the Plumber to ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes.

Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.

Following the Plumbers' orders and instructions.

New construction installation.
