The Springhill Group is looking for a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our team. The HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial heating, hydronics, ventilation, and cooling units for our multiple buildings in Pennsylvania and Florida. The HVAC Service Technician will also need to diagnose and repair the electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems. The candidate will also be required to do minor plumbing and electrical work, minor construction, and interact with tenants to satisfy their needs.

License/Certification:

Journeyman HVAC (Preferred)

Driver's License (Required)

E02 and EPA Universal (Required)

Headquarters: Green Tree, PA. Other locations include Indiana and Punxsutawney, PA, Jacksonville and Bonita Springs FL. Also various tower sites that are used for radio transmission.

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

On Call 24/7

Experience:

Install, maintain & repair heating & cooling units: 3 years.

Diagnose & repair electronic, mechanical & electrical: 3 years.

Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting HVAC issues: 3 years.

Experience in Carrier VVT system and accompanying computer software and hardware.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Job Details:

The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel.

The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat.

The employee may drive for extended periods of time, including in all weather and light conditions.

Must have excellent organizational skills.

Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.

Must have good oral and written communications skills.

Observe all company procedures and safety rules.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Must have basic computer skills, and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the work day.

Travel:

Travel to sites is required, sometimes in excess of 100 miles.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and possess his/her own vehicle.

Additional Duties:

Maintain buildings and interview outside contractors if additional work is required. Buildings must be kept to code. Keep up to date on inspections for various aspects including fire/life safety, elevators, backflow prevention, etc.

Monitor and sign off on utilities and bills related to the Springhill Group.

General maintenance duties as required.

Winter and summer sidewalk maintenance.

Parking lot and grounds maintenance. Minor landscaping and dumpster patrol.

Ability to work proactively and independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done properly and responsibly.

Microsoft Office experience (specifically Word and Excel)

Work as part of our team to ensure tenant satisfaction.

Obtain bids and manage capital improvement projects.

Coordinate move-in for new tenants and move-out inspections for tenants vacating their space.

Provide prompt, professional response and follow through regarding tenant inquiries, problems, and complaints.

Vendor Administration:

Maintain a file of Certificates of Insurance for both tenants and vendors.

Prepare new vendor contracts and manage renewals.

Maintain a schedule of service contracts by property.

Maintain and update a list of preferred vendors in each trade.
