Job Description – Debt Collector / Account Recovery Representative

Join an established financial services company as a full-time Debt Collector / Account Recovery Representative.

The position is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and collecting outstanding balances on consumer accounts. The position is in the employer’s Tacoma headquarters office.

Responsibilities

Inbound/outbound calls to consumers.

Collect outstanding debts.

Establish payment terms with consumers for account resolution.

Answer inquiries by clarifying desired information, updating and documenting call center database accurately.

Skip tracing and asset location.

Recommending accounts to legal review when appropriate.

Maintain strict compliance with State and Federal regulations and guidelines.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

· 2+ years debt collection or call center experience preferred, or 2+ years professional experience in customer service or sales.

· Exceptional customer service commitment

· Strong interpersonal and listening skills; assertive, persistent and ability to de-escalate

· Working knowledge of accounts receivable

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize

· Ability to follow verbal and written instruction

· Typing minimum 40 WPM

Working Conditions

· Office hours; Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM

· On the job training provided

· All prospective employees must pass a background screening

Starting Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, DOE

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Work Location: One location
