The Mission of Cowboy Compost

To reduce waste in Fort Worth by diverting disposed items from the landfill.

To teach fellow citizens about composting (nature’s own process of putting organic materials back into the land, thereby creating new rich soil) which, in addition to reusing, repurposing and recycling, is a great option for decreasing waste in order to achieve a more sustainable environment and reduce pollution in Fort Worth.

To inspire people to adopt a zero waste lifestyle and to provide the necessary services to achieve this goal.

We are looking for someone to help us with our compost service business serving the greater Fort Worth area.

We need a strong person to help with these items, and maybe more:

- Drive our truck with trailer to collect the organic residues on our route

- MUST have a good driving record

- MUST be able to pass a drug test

- Must be STRONG enough to pick up containers weighing up to 100 pounds and manipulate wheeled containers weighing much more

- Inspect and sort the residues we collect

- Stand for two to three hours with repetitive bending and twisting motion

- Deliver the collected organics to a central delivery point and dump.

- Wash, organize and prepare the containers for future use

- General duties as needed.

- The pay is much better than minimum wage!
