We are a young but rapidly growing hospitality group in the Santa Ynez Valley, focused on supporting the next generation of restaurateurs. The range of compensation is $17 - $18/hour plus tips. Our restaurant offers access to insurance enrollments (must maintain 30 hours per week), 401(k) retirement plan, 50% dining discounts at group restaurants and more!The Server Assistant/Porter represents the restaurant with the highest levels of sanitation and cleanliness. The Server Assistant/Porter must interact with the employees and management in a professional and collaborativemanner. Ideal candidates possess: Positive attitude Integrity 1 year full-service restaurant experience in a front of house/service position Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and guests The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure A strong work ethic and a hunger to learn and grow Warmth and graciousness; the ability to function highly in a busy environment. Excellence Reflex Careful attention to detail A sense of urgency and strong communication skills Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and with grace Punctuality Energy, organization skills, and ambition Ego-free and team-oriented attitude Knowledge of French cuisine and ingredients a plus Some wine and beverage knowledge a plus Key Responsibilities Buses tables of dishware and sanitizes tables so it is thoroughly cleaned Polishes glassware and stores safely Assists servers in bringing drink and food orders tableside Removes and breaks down boxes from receiving area Assists FOH team in service, sidework and the guest experience Sorts and disposes of trash (compost, recycling, and garbage) May assist Dishwasher when needed in: Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the dish area at all times Cleans and sanitizes all areas and surfaces of the restaurant including the exterior before and after service Cleans and sanitizes dirty glassware, flatware, plate ware, kitchenware, and grill parts for cleaning before, during, and after service Work Environment Involves standing and walking the entire shift Involves holding objects with hands Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds with frequency throughoutshift Bell’s is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
