Licensed Boat Captain

Overview:

We are seeking a local skilled and experienced Boat Captain to join our team. As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for operating and managing our 2023 Sylvan L series Tritoon boat ensuring the safety of passengers and providing an exceptional boating experience. Exploring the waterways of the Hillsborough River around Tampa Bay. If you have mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the water, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

- Rigging and preparing boats for each trip

- Ensuring the safety of passengers and crew at all times

- Operating boats in a safe and efficient manner

- Providing excellent customer service to enhance the boating experience

- Maintaining and inspecting boats regularly

- Adhering to all maritime regulations and safety protocols

- Handling emergency situations calmly and effectively

Skills:

- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues

- Ability to rig boats properly for each trip

- Strong leadership skills to manage and supervise crew members

- Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions to crew and passengers

- Proficient in boat handling techniques and navigation

- Ability to militarize operations when necessary

Hours and compensation will be discussed during interview.

Boat captain: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

Active Coast Guard certification
