Hands and Feet of Asheville is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization rooted in the Presbyterian Church (USA) that pairs young adults (21-29) with working experiences at local Western North Carolina non-profit partners doing vital work in our community. This transformative experience runs from mid-August through mid-May and is designed to walk alongside you during a time of change and uncertainty, helping you discern in your vocational and spiritual journeys. Being a Hands and Feet program participant requires a willingness to engage in anti-racist and compassionate social justice, learning more about what living a life of service means for you. Program participants will explore what it looks like to live your values in the world, challenging racism, inequality, environmental degradation, and more while sustaining your spirit and maintaining meaningful relationships. This is a program of personal, professional, and spiritual growth, working towards each of those areas; as such, we welcome young adults grounded in any faith tradition, including no faith tradition, to explore and discern their individual calling, as they live together in intentional community.

Program Benefits:

-Professional experience at a local non-profit 32 hrs/week

-Free housing

-A monthly stipend of $425

-A wellness stipend

-Intentional community days

-A network of mentors committed to helping you grow and live into the next phase of your life
