Core Responsibilities

Responsible for contributing, with guidance, to the analysis of system problems and the formulation of system changes.

Develop code and/or assist with implementation of vendor packages. Perform testing and updates of documentation.

Performs unit, integration and system testing and sets up user acceptance testing for small to medium sized projects.

The Technical Associate will function as a member of a collaborative team by contributing to software builds through consistent development practices (tools, common components, and documentation). This individual will be well versed with general knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases and has an understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages.

Writes programming specifications with guidance, based on systems design for small to medium change

Makes recommendations for improving application design and implementation in light of process changes or changes in business or technology environment

Effectively develop, manage, and strengthen vendor relationships to align vendor products and services with business and IT objectives

Collaborates with peers; researches, establishes and updates technical standards and procedures. Manages application development lifecycle and methodologies, provides oversight on processes and other governance responsibilities.

Performs high-level applications testing for technology upgrades.

Participates in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required.

Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Ensures implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

Required Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree and Degree attained with a minimum one-year experience. Requirement is based on a cumulative full-time work equivalence with a company-sponsored internship or coop program from any employer

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree Degree specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus.

Relevant Work Experience

Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate. Required

Some experience developing modern object-oriented APIs (e.g., REST, GraphQL, ProtoBuf) preferably using languages and frameworks like .NET/C#, Java, Spring Boot, or NodeJS Required

Some experience developing with databases and SQLs (Oracle, SQLServer, or noSQL) Required

Understanding of application design and Software Development Lifecycle principles. Required

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating system Required

Capable of working independently or with a team. Required

Is passionate about problem solving. Required

Knowledge of Linux operating systems a plus Preferred

Experience with the Microsoft development family (.NET, SQL Server, Azure DevOps) is a plus. Preferred

Leadership, talent development and team minded qualities are a plus. Preferred

Has a strong sense of ownership and is not afraid to speak up. Preferred
