Line Cook for an open kitchen
This position is for a full-time Front-of-House Line Cook role with availability on the weekends. You will be in front of customers and working alongside one or two other bartenders/servers preparing cheese & charcuterie & plating/prepping cold food items.
Areas of Responsibilities:
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service
Answer, report to, and follow executive chef’s instructions
Keep station clean throughout shift and properly handle closing of your station, including any leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately, and inform management of any shortages
Work with a sense of purpose and urgency
Ensure that food comes out consistently, with high quality preparation and in a timely fashion
Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
Assist guests with questions and concerns or direct them to a staff member who can
Communicate effectively and frequently with management, staff, and guests
Ideal Experience:
Proven cooking experience
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Ability to lift and move up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
Ability to read and write in English
STRONG PREFERENCE for candidates with their NYC Food Protection Certification
Reports to Executive Chef & General Manager
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly $20-23
