SUPERINTENDENT - COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
Specialized Services Group, a commercial construction, painting, and historical restoration/preservation General Contractor, is seeking a SUPERINTENDENT with experience in commercial construction to join our team!
The position requires an organized individual who is a forward planner, resourceful, innovative, demonstrates integrity, thrives in a fast-paced environment and works with minimal supervision; ensuring work performed is high quality, accurate and cost effective. With the ability to oversee a variety of projects and to shift with changing priorities.
The Superintendent will provide on-site coordination and supervision of commercial construction projects. Responsibilities include coordination of subcontractors, material, and equipment on site; assurance that all work meets specifications and quality standards; execution of project on schedule; coordination of inspections with applicable jurisdictions; and compliance with all applicable safety standards.
Required:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience of verifiable construction supervisory experience.
Preferred: Educational, Retail, Industrial, Office, and/or General Commercial Construction.
Working knowledge of all construction trades and codes. Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction plans & specifications, shop drawings & submittals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate using the following tools: smartphone, email, computer, tablet, written logs.
Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Must be drug free.
Must be able to travel.
