Mechanic Helper

Immediate opening for a full-time heavy-duty mechanic helper to provide support to Lead mechanic and perform duties such as changing oil and tires, replacing hoses and belts, inspecting brakes, and helping to diagnose issues on dump trucks, lowboys and fleet vehicles. Must have relevant work experience of at least 1 year. Must work well with people, must be able to work with others and independently, must be flexible. Use hand tools, lifts, jacks, power tools, etc.

Undercarriage experience a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must have some tools and good communication skills. Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Individual must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be able to safely perform job duties in all types of adverse conditions. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling, stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, squatting, and climbing. Work outdoors in different climates.
