Diesel Mechanic

We are looking for a motivated mechanic to join our team. Candidate must have automotive or diesel repair related experience. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and must be able to troubleshoot and repair problems quickly and efficiently. Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Drive service truck to customer to perform maintenance and repairs

Trailer repair to include lights, air brakes, wheel ends and liftgates

Diagnose and repair class 4-8 truck, air brakes, wheel ends, starting and charging systems, diesel engine.

Repair and service heavy equipment, hydraulics

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, BIT / DOT inspections.

Follow all safety procedures and regulations

Communicate effectively with customers and other employees

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Automotive diagnostics experience

- Knowledge of air brake systems

- Mechanical knowledge

- Experience with vehicle maintenance

- Ability to use hand tools

- Familiarity with transmissions, engines, hydraulics, and suspension systems

Preferred qualifications:

- Dealership experience

- Experience with heavy equipment operation

- Familiarity with fabrication, excavators, cranes, and forklifts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
