Hiring Part-Time Line Cooks- Lenora

Lenora, a Mexican street food restaurant located at 2 Portland Square in Portland is currently looking for qualified individuals willing to work a part-time schedule to start. Full-time may become available.

Weekends are a necessary part of this position. The days we are looking to fill are Saturday, Sunday + Monday AM or PM and Tuesday-Thursday PM.

Pay based on experience $20-$23 an hour plus kitchen tip out. (Paid weekly)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain an organized, sanitary, and safe workstation

Work various stations behind the line properly

Ensure product is handled in compliance with health and safety regulations

Pay careful attention to allergies / dietary restrictions. Communicate with Expo, managers, and the FOH staff regarding accommodations to standard preparation

Set up hot and cold stations with the appropriate supplies

Complete daily prep tasks and meet pars accordingly

Ensure that all kitchen surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized regularly

Collaboration on daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and/or organization projects

Work with other team members to ensure that all product is rotated on schedule (first-in, first-out)

Close down the kitchen and ensure all product and equipment is put away and cleaned correctly.

Complete duties of other BOH positions as needed

Requirements:

2 years experience in a similar position

Demonstrate consistent execution of safety measures when handling kitchen equipment and working in all stations behind the line

Ability to work AM or PM + shifts consistently

Comprehensive knowledge and application of food and safety regulations

Comprehensive knowledge of Lenora’s menus

Punctual and reliable for shifts as scheduled

Able to work as part of a team and to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen

Organized with work responsibilities

Communicate with all co-workers in a professional and respectful manner at all times

Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50lbs as well as standing on your feet for 8-12 hours
