Employees are allowed to make their own schedule as work can be done at any time and any day of the week. Specific day and time of work is left up to employee to decide.

Who we are:

Established in 1993, TJB Sunshine provides maintenance / specialty cleaning service for national retail chain stores across NY state. All of our technicians are employees as we do not hire subcontractors. Our average employee has worked with us for over 10 years. We have had continued growth and now services almost all of NYS. We provide a wide range of maintenance and cleaning services to retail stores only. We are looking for a local technician to provide service to our established customers in the capital district area.

Qualification requirements:

Work experience.

Minimum 3 years experience with one company

Valid NYS driver's license with no major. Infractions. Car required

Education

Minimum requirement High school diploma, GED or greater

Experience with customer service

Skills with small hand tools

Background checks are required

Physical fitness ability to be on your feet for extended hours, bending, reaching , crawling etc.

Employee will need a positive friendly attitude with ability to converse with all levels of retail management as well as our office staff.

Hiring process

Unfortunately not all applicant will be contacted. Applicants that are selected will be contacted for follow up. Interested applicants that are chosen will be offered a paid working interview. Normally a couple hours working with us at one of our accounts. This is done primarily so applicants can have a hands on look at what we do to see if it is a good fit for them. We pay for all training including interview time. After a training period, most of the time you would be working by yourself.

The continued growth of our company is amazing. Our business structure is so different than what industry considers to be the normal, or right way to run a company. Here are some of the core beliefs that our company was founded on.

Employees are the biggest asset. The employees opinions and pride of the company they work for is what makes the company grow and prosper. Investing both time and money in employees so they can grow and prosper will result in the company growing and prospering as well. it seems to me that industry treats employees as disposable creating an attitude of indifference. How does industry not see that this employee indifference effects their customers and thereby the companies success. It seems at times that companies invests so much money in everything except it's employees. Frequently companies mandate policies to the determinate of it's employees without any degree of empathy for what the employees deal with. I run my company working side by side with employees daily. The office can be run by our office staff, which are amazing. I have been told by many business professionals that I could not run a business this way but so nice to see that with these simple beliefs that our company just keeps growing larger than I could have ever imagined. To sum up I think industry needs to care more about the individual employee, their happiness and their growth. Shouldn't this be the largest priority. Empowering employees to make decisions and be an actual part of the company. This will directly effect profitability. Saving money by lowering salaries, establishing policies that negatively effect employees, squeezing money out of the business every way possible is not what is best for the investors. It's both unfair to employees and is financially short sighted. I feal so strongly about business being a win win.
