Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Chandlers Bay Apartments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property maintenance, demonstrating excellent technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper upkeep and functionality of our apartment community.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
Respond to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory management.
Assist in preparing units for new residents by performing necessary repairs and ensuring cleanliness.
Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance requests.
Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property, including common areas, grounds, and amenities.
Adhere to company policies and procedures while fostering a positive and professional environment for residents and team members.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in maintenance or related field preferred.
Proven experience in property maintenance, with skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical labor as needed.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and being on-call for emergencies.
