Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance professional for the hands-on facilities maintenance of the beautiful Highlands Camp & Conference Center. With over 40 buildings at Highlands, you are guaranteed to be professionally challengedand never bored!

The ideal candidate will have Potable Water and Wastewater systems familiarity (or the ability to learn) and a reputation as the local "MacGyver" for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building mechanical, structural and electrical systems.

Duties

Personally run the daily operations of the Potable Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, consisting of taking samples, readings and recordings along with needed adjustments for proper sanitation and operations.

Carry out basic building troubleshooting and repair on: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, mechanical, structural, as well as kitchen equipment systems.

Effectively work with county regulators, contractors and facility maintenance vendors on inspections, upgrades, and repairs.

Skills and Your Background

If your work experience has been as the maintenance person at a remote camp, conference or retreat center, school, motel or apartment complex, you likely have the right skills to do well in this position.

If your past jobs have allowed you to pitch in where ever needed (kitchen, housekeeping, groundskeeping) to ensure that customers want to return, you also might have the right background to well in this position.
