Description We are in the search for a Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Woburn, Massachusetts. The role involves focusing on customer payment processing, conducting research, and maintaining positive customer relations. The successful candidate will join a dynamic environment, where collaboration and commitment to quality are fundamental.Responsibilities: Daily processing, coding, and entering of customer payments in Oracle. Assisting Collections teams in researching unapplied cash and customer pay histories in CMS and Oracle. Completing all Cash Transfer Requests as initiated by the Collections teams. Making customer service calls to inquire into unidentifiable payments and respond to customer inquiries/requests. Undertaking general clerical duties such as researching, filing, and photocopying. Responsible for updating and maintaining customer data in Excel. Handling all Accounts Receivable tasks related to the operations of the Department. Working closely with Collectors, Regional Representatives, and Customers to reduce unapplied payments and reapply them to the customer's accounts. Performing thorough research and analysis to resolve customer credit inquiries. Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements Proven experience in a Cash Application Specialist role or similar finance-related positions Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, and Content Management System (CMS) Extensive knowledge of operations, payment processing, and accounts receivable (AR) Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner Experience with collection processes and the ability to manage cash activity effectively Strong customer service skills, with experience in dealing with both internal and external customers Ability to perform clerical duties such as filing and photocopying Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to handle complex cash applications Familiarity with coding and remittance procedures Ability to manage unapplied cash and rectify discrepancies Prior experience as a collector would be an advantage Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high volumes of data accurately.
