This individual is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance. This person works with advanced storage technologies and requires a deep understanding of storage solutions, data management, and disaster recovery processes, and additionally requires knowledge of NetApp storage solutions and hands on experience with both NetApp and Pure Storage.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Design and Implementation:

Design and deploy storage solutions that meet the organization's performance, capacity, and redundancy requirements.

Implement storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and DAS, ensuring optimal configuration and integration with other IT systems.

Management and Maintenance:

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot storage infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to storage hardware and software.

Data Management:

Help Develop and implement data backup, archiving, and disaster recovery strategies.

Ensure data integrity and security through effective management of storage policies and procedures.

Performance Optimization:

Analyze storage performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.

Work with other IT teams to optimize storage performance for applications and databases.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide advanced technical support for storage-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.

Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex storage issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and policies.

Generate and analyze reports on storage usage, performance, and capacity planning.

Project Management:

Lead storage-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within the defined timelines and budgets.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Compliance and Security:

Ensure storage solutions comply with regulatory and organizational security standards.

Implement and manage encryption and other security measures to protect sensitive data.Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications in storage technologies (e.g., EMC, NetApp, VMware, or similar) are preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in storage engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of designing and managing enterprise storage solutions.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency with storage systems and technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, DAS, RAID, Fibre Channel, iSCSI).Proficiency with NetApp storage systems and technologie (e.g., ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault, FlexClone).

Experience with storage management tools and software.

Strong understanding of data backup, recovery, and archiving solutions.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).

Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesThe position may require occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines and resolve critical issues and necessitates the availability for on-call support as needed.The salary range for remote US-based applicants for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$85,000 - $109,000 per year, plus bonus potential.We value each of our employee's total wellness.
