Description We are in search of a diligent Billing Clerk to join our team within the service industry. This role is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and offers an immediate, short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Billing Clerk, you will be responsible for managing customer requests, handling account cancellations and delinquencies, and addressing billing exceptions.Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve partner policy interface issues. Conduct root cause analysis and determine corrective action to ensure correct application of customer payments. Process credit card resolution and monitor status of credit card follow-up actions with cross-functional departments. Investigate credit card charge-backs and provide timely responses to credit card institutions. Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with billing industry standards. Provide clear and timely communication on the status of all activities. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas to manage and analyze financial data. Handle invoicing, account cancellations, and delinquencies, and manage customer requests.Skills: Proficiency in Billing, Billing Statements, and Contractual billing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas.Requirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role Proficient in billing processes, including preparation and issuance of billing statements Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and use Excel formulas Ability to accurately input and manage data, ensuring timely and correct billing Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with clients and team members Problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and handle inquiries Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is desirable.All candidates must undergo drug and background screeningRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
