Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L ) to support the Fabrication team based out of Portland, Oregon.This Senior Manager will be responsible for the People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & Innovation performance while delivering product to our internal Boeing Programs. In this role, there will be regular interaction with the cross-functional production support team, operations, executive leadership, and regulatory agencies. This position requires strong leadership and people skills, the ability to problem solve, proactively identify issues, and develop and communicate action plans.We are committed to providing our team equal opportunity for growth in a stable work environment. Build a positive and inclusive team environment while leading employees and first-level managers.

Maintains a productive sense of urgency & uses the Boeing Production System to ensure that team meets people, safety, quality, delivery, cost & innovation performance expectations.

Uses established problem-solving methods to address gaps between goals and required outcomes.

Develops and implements integrated plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, capital investment, goals and objectives.

Acquires resources for business team activities and leads continuous improvement activities within the business team and across site.

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Portland, OR.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position

3+ years advising and influencing managers or non-managers to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems

3+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.

Ability to work variable shift including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years of experience in using Lean principles

3+ years of experience coaching, guiding and mentoring teams

3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.

3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS).

3+ year of experience effectively communicating with employees, peers and senior leadership.
